2016 Crochetville Stashbusting CAL

Once again, I am participating in the Crochetville Stashbusting CAL for 2016... I participated in this last year, however, I didn't make it the full year, so this year, I vow to do just that!

WIP; Harry Potter Afghan - Two Hearts Crochet CAL!

I am a HUGE Potterhead.. I've seen the movies more times than I even want to try to count. So when I joined the Two Hearts Crochet CAL group on facebook and saw that they were doing a Harry Potter Afghan CAL, I KNEW I wanted to do this afghan!

Large Granny Square Afghan

I like making baby afghans for babies in the family when they're born, because it's something they aren't going to out grow! Well, my cousin just had her baby boy on Friday and I knew I wanted to be able to take her an afghan down when we go down for Christmas. I finished it yesterday morning (Monday the 21st of December).

Bubble Puppy Hat

I made a friend a hat for her daughter who was born around the same time that Rosalie was born, and she wanted a Bubble Puppy hat. So here it is! I might end up writing a pattern up for this, because I did it all, since I couldn't really find a pattern for it anywhere. I think it still turned out really cute, but as you can see in the picture, my model was being a grouch! HAHA.

My Ziggy Zag Vixen Slouch Hat

I have been crocheting since February of 2010, so very close to 6 years, and I have JUST NOW made myself something to keep. I have started stuff for myself before, but ended up finding other uses for it. I loved the look of these hats when I saw them being constantly posted in a group I'm in on Facebook, and just knew I had to make the hat for myself, after purchasing the pattern.

My cousin had her baby girl on October 27th, and I've still not gotten her an afghan made yet :( I really try to do better with getting stuff done by the time that the babies arrive, but this one just didn't happen. I had everything started, had my pattern, all my yarn & just could NOT get the blanket to work, so I switched to my "Go-To" Baby Blanket pattern.

Not much more to go and I'll be completely done with it :)

So it's been an age or two since I've posted on here! I had purchased a domain, but that just never really went over very well. I tried setting up a "shop" on there but I obviously wasn't smart enough to figure it out, SO I just stopped blogging and let the domain expire. I'm back, and I'll try to update you every now & then on what I've made & of course, new items over at the Etsy Shop. :o)

More tested patterns!!

I am currently in the process of testing a pattern for a pair of pants & a matching bonnet for Veronica's Crochet on facebook!!

But in the mean time - I have also tested a pattern for Treasures & Trinkets by Tiffany. I was able to test her pattern for this adorable Newborn Baby Chick Hat Which you can purchase for the very reasonable price of $1.99!

I was offered a chance to test a couple patterns for Veronica's Crochet!

The first pattern was for her Vintage Scalloped Bonnet. I tested it in size 0-3 Month! (Since I have a model that size!)

I did my version in ILTY Grape from Hobby Lobby and added a cute butterfly button to hold the strap!

35 by 35

I have a list of 35 things I want to do by the time I am 35!! This has been written down for quite a while!! I have 6 years 5 months to accomplish all that are not strike out!

VERY simple Afghan

Disclaimer; I, in no way, claim to have came up with this pattern. I was at a loss as to how to do this afghan, and just decided on this pattern. Below is how I did it...

Little Miss watch...

Friday I had to be at my OB at 10:30. Did all the normal routine.. Her heartrate was slightly elevated at 160-170. We figure it's because she was mad at having the hiccups. My Blood Pressure was good. 112/60. I gained 1 lb in a week (Still under my goal!!!)

My PRODUCTIVE Saturday!

Big Mister had to work yesterday & the Little Misters had spent Friday night at my parents house - so I was home all alone! Once I got the house straightened (because what better time to do it than when no one else is home, right?!) I brought out my hook & yarn!!

The first thing I finished was this Round Ripple afghan for a baby girl. Totally love how it turned out!! I think the white really makes it pop!

8" of snow!!

See what happens when I complain about not getting a good "WINTER" snow?! We get about 8" of snow just 11-12 days before I am due! Here is a small timeline of pictures I took! I should have done every hour - because I knew we were going to get a good snow.. I just didn't realize we would get 8" lol!!

My past 2 days & a hat!

Big Mister and I took Little Mister 2 to school Tuesday at noon, which is when the afternoon preschool class starts their classes & then went down to the local park, Mammoth Spring State Park, to walk because I was having some pretty good contractions, pretty close together. The trail around the park is 6/10 of a mile, and we walked it 4 times in about an hour & a half. Contractions picked up, so we made arrangements of who would pick the boys up from school, I called my mom to let her know we were heading to the hospital. We got there, they monitored me & I was in fact having contractions, about a 1.5-2 minutes apart. When we got there, I was dilated to 1.5-2 (I was at a 4 at my last appointment on the 15th of March - None of the nurses could figure out how I regressed.) Little Miss's heartrate was fluctuating in between 140-200 which really worried us. When we asked the main RN about it, she said it was normal for that much fluctuation. We got there around 2:00 and left around 5:30 - The contractions just weren't helping me dilate any. They told me to come home & walk. We did. We decided to go ahead & try to get a good night sleep then walk more the next morning to see if they were still constant & then if so, we would head back up there..

While this is a "crochet blog" I will occasionally post things about my life on here!! I don't really post on my other blog anymore, I get tired of having more than one so I figure why not!!

Headband!!

I made Little Miss a headband!! This will be something that I can do - use up stash (slowly because it doesn't use much yarn) and be proud of :)
